So...I'm getting older.

On the eve of my thirty-fourth birthday, I feel.....well, kinda okay!  I'm happy, healthy, and loved by the people who are dear to me.  You know who you are!  I have a loving husband who really is my BFF, two beautiful girls who love me, and some really awesome friends.  What more could a girl ask for?  Oh, yeah, a savior who died on Calvary's Cross for a sinner like me.  Check!  I've got that too.

As I look back on my thirty-third year, I see a new person in these shoes.  She's a person who's growing and changing.  I can only hope you see her too.  She's speaking less and hearing more.  She's giving more and taking less.  She's not looking for a pat on the back, she is giving more shout outs to others.  I like this new me!  I feel....well, mainly I just FEEL!  I have grown closer to the One who loves me at my absolute worst but refuses to leave me that way.

Even now, as I compose this blog, I feel a lump in my throat at all God has done for me this year.  I have seen prayers answered time and time again.  I have formed new bonds with people that I didn't even know before.  I have reached a point in my life where I am really not concerned with fads or criticism.  I am who I am.  Plain and simple.  I don't "put on the dog" for anyone!  I love completely, without expectations.  I forgive quickly, but I am finding that I am slower to forget.  I have a lot of work to do, but I'm liking this new chick!

I hope you will help me along my way.  You have the power with a simple smile, a kind word, a friendly text, or a bible verse to change my whole day.  I hope I can make a difference in yours as well.  Thank you, my friends, for making this a truly life changing year.  I love you all!!
