As I've mentioned before, my oldest child, Kaylei, is my songbird. She loves it, that's just plain and simple. She sings in the shower, in the car, when she eats, and pretty much everywhere. It drove me nuts, until one day, I called a really good friend whom just happens to be a vocal coach, and I asked her if she could listen to Kaylei. She said she would, and she said she would be honest and let me know if voice lessons were worth the effort.
We went to our first lesson, and Ms. Cathy said she had a very strong voice and could change pitch quite easily for a child of her age. Needless to say, we were on our way!
Now, Kaylei didn't want to tackle simple songs that little girls like to sing. No, she wants to sing LeAnn Womack's "There Is A God." (Google it if you haven't heard it. You will be blessed.) She not only wanted to sing it, but she wanted to sing it at church in front of 200 people.
So we worked, and we worked.... I say "we", but all I did was drive her to her lessons. I am pleased to say, she really did a great job. She sang it on a Sunday night first, and was put on a Sunday morning shortly after. I honestly did not breathe at all while she sang. I was a proud momma!!

Check it out for yourself! Sorry for the poor quality. My video recorder croaked, so I had to use my iPhone.
Stay tuned for more videos....
Much love today and always.
